Daily Bhaskar is reporting that filming for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will take place in India as well:

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has given the nod to US-based Cape Road Productions to lense the next Batman flick, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in Jodhpur.

Jodhpur is the second-largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The city is known as the Sun City and is also referred to as the Blue City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort.

The Dark Knight Rises will start filming soon for a July 20, 2012 release.
